Uni, TAFE, College: Students
Both full and part time students who reside in Australia can purchase at education prices as long as;
  1. you are working towards an apprenticeship, certificate level 1-4, diploma, degree, or post-graduate degree at an accredited institution, ie University, TAFE, or Vocational College.

  2. your course length exceeds 6 months.

Uni, TAFE, College: Academic Staff
Both full and part time academic staff members who reside in Australia, can purchase at education prices as long as;
  1. you are employed by an accredited institution: ie, University, TAFE, or Vocational College.


K-12 School: Students
K-12 (Kindergarten to Year 12) students are eligible to purchase at education prices.

K-12 School: Teaching Staff
The following are eligible to purchase at education prices; Full and part time Teaching Staff, Project Officers and Curriculum Officers employed by the Government, Catholic or Independent schools sector, residing in Australia.

K-12 School: The School
Schools are able to purchase boxed software at the education rate. Schools are also eligible to purchase licence product if purchasing large quantities of software (5 or more copies).

Unsure?
Each software publisher sets their own specific definition of who is eligible to purchase their product at education prices (ie, academic editions). The criteria above should cover most cases, however, if you are unsure whether your situation satisfies the guidelines, contact xxxmaria@studentservices.com.au (delete the"xxx" -it helps prevent us getting webcrawled spam) or visit the publisher's website.


Education Compliance Audit (ECA)
After your purchase and delivery, the ECA process may randomly select you to check that you were eligible.

If you ARE, it's easy: Just put a photocopy of your student ID (or other approved document) in the free-post envelope provided within 14 days. That's it.

If you DONT comply with the audit, you may be charged the difference between the education rate and the normal rate. You may also be prosecuted for making a false declaration.
