Is "education software" the same as the full priced retail version?
For most products, yes:
The product in the box is the same as the full priced retail edition. The only difference is the box has the word "Education" or "Academic Edition" on it and the price is specially reduced for education use. While the product is the same, the license conditions are not - see below.
What is an "academic" or "education" license?
The specific license terms are different for each software publisher, however the education license generally means you;
1. must be a current student,
2. you will not use the product for commercial purposes, only for educational purposes.

Who is allowed to buy at the "education" price?
The Eligibility page has the full criteria. It is a prosecutable offence to falsely claim eligibility.
Please note: The Adobe "Student Edition" software is ONLY for Secondary and Tertiary students. Teachers and Educational Institutions are not allowed to purchase "Student Edition" software. Students must submit their student proof to Adobe in order to receive a serial number.

Delivery
We use Australian Air Express and Australia Post Registered Mail. To ensure fast and secure delivery, please give us either a postal box address or an address where someone will be able to sign for it during the day.
Delivery is $9.85 per order and should take 1-3 days to arrive if the product is in stock.

Alternatively you can call your local Post Office as the parcel may be there for your pick up if no one was present to sign for the delivery.

What is the "Education Compliance Audit?"
Some time after your purchase and delivery, the ECA process may randomly select you to check that you were eligible.
If you are, it's easy: Just put a photocopy of your student ID (or other approved document) in the free-post envelope provided within 14 days. That's it. Easy.
If you fail to comply with the audit, you will be charged the difference between the education rate and the normal rate. You may also be prosecuted for making a false declaration.
As part of purchasing, you are agreeing to the conditions of the ECA. Full details are available on the Terms page.

Why have the ECA?
Because education software prices are so low, it is important that only eligible customers purchase. The ECA system allows you to purchase today and have delivery in 48 hours, without the hassle of finding a photocopier and faxing or mailing your ID details and waiting before you can buy your software.
The ECA makes life easy for real students and real academic staff, but very uncomfortable for anyone else.

What is the refund policy?
If the plastic seal is broken a return or exchange will not be accepted due to copyright and licensing restrictions.
If you are returning a product that is in a resaleable condition (and the plastic seal is not broken), then we will refund you the value of your purchase, minus a $25 cancellation fee to cover the costs incurred in postage and labour when the box was initially sent to you. Click on the Terms tabs for further info on refunds.
It is best, of course, if you select carefully before you purchase. Double check you are buying the correct operating system version, i.e. Windows/PC or Apple Mac version.

I am unsure which product – can you give advice?
We are focused on providing the best prices and fast, secure delivery. Unfortunately, we haven’t got the resources to offer advice to customers.

Can I share my software with my friends?
You crazy? Illegal copying and use of software is theft. In Australia, the BSAA actively and successfully prosecutes individuals and companies who have pirated software. The BSAA offers a reward of up to $5,000 for information on software pirates. Conditions apply, see www.bsaa.com.au.
An individual found guilty of an infringement of copyright may be sentenced to a maximum of 5 years imprisonment and fined up to $93,500!

What would happen if all the students in the world who fell asleep in class were laid end-to-end?
They would be a lot more comfortable.
